In the middle of flat green meadows

When you are in the north of Holland this summer, you should pay a visit to Farsk in Britswerd. A renovated farm in the middle of the countryside. You could easily pass and miss all the good stuff hidden behind some trees and the facade of a historical farm building.

There’s a lot to discover. A back to basic campsite where you can stay with your own tent/caravan/camper or sleep in tiny nature houses or beautiful bell tents, a glasshouse to sit for workshops or in case of some rain, a cute little shop and a large barn which is turned into a super cozy bar. If you are lucky you can even find a little ice store in a tiny shed and a labyrinth in the former manure storage.

Definitely worth a visit and spend some lovely hours or even days. It’s close to Friesland’s capital Leeuwarden and another Elfstedentocht city Franeker. In the last city you’ll find museum Planetarium Eise Eisinga, since 2023 on the list of UNESCO.
